The current federal government shutdown has resulted in a pause in the issuance of November 2025 Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) food benefits. If you or someone you know is affected and needs help with food, please utilize the resources below. The State of Delaware and partnering organizations are working to support families during this unprecedented time.

Tips for SNAP Recipients

• Check Your EBT Balance: Any benefits already loaded onto your EBT card from October or previous months can still be used.
• Keep Your Card: Keep your EBT card. Benefits do not expire unless the card is inactive for about nine months (274 days). You will need it when benefits resume.

• Donating Funds: Monetary donations allow the Food Bank to purchase in-demand items in bulk.
• Start a Fundraiser
• Volunteer at the Food Bank 
• Donating Food: Most-needed items include hearty canned soups, diapers, baby formula, peanut butter, shelf stable milk and rice.
